Peaceful Path
Divorce Coaching
Divorce is a painful and fearful time. What comes first? Can we afford this? What happens with the kids? Where do I start? Do I need a lawyer? How much is this going to cost? Can I do it on my own?
How can a Divorce Coach help?
Usually when a marriage comes to the end, life feels like pure chaos. And maybe it's felt like that for a long time. Figuring out what to do next seems insurmountable.
Divorce doesn't have to be as complicated as it seems. There are a finite number of things that need to be figured out. I can help you understand what the process is going to look like. Importantly, like most things, coming into the process prepared will save you a lot of heartache and money.
I Need a Pitbull Attorney!!!
No. No you don't. When you come into the divorce process highly emotional and wanting your attorney to fight hard for you, you usually end up in a highly contentious situation. Lawyers will start the process by posturing with impossible demands from both sides when both of you are ready to fight. All this does is lead to a protracted divorce and lots of legal fees. There is a reason why all Family Law cases are referred to Mediation before trial. It's because once the two sides start threatening each other with outrageous demands, there isn't much room for reasonable discussions.
I can help you understand the process. We'll organize your thoughts and demands so you know what you and the other party need to resolve for this to be over. I can help you prepare for meetings with your attorney. And I can help you understand the resources available to you if you want to do this without an attorney. The emotional part is hard. The logistics of getting this done doesn't have to be overwhelming.
